Review of Travellers and Magicians (2003) by Robert O — 14 Jun 2007
I want to thank Alan and Dori for lending me this wonderful movie. The film portrays the current tension in Bhutan of whether to stick to its millenary traditions or to be dragged by the fast-paced world that already invades the country through Indian soap operas and Japanese rock.
The cinematography is gorgeous and the story told by the monk has an exquisite air of sensuality. When I saw the movie about a year ago, I was obsessed by the song at the end of the movie for about a week.
This is a must see.
