Review of Trash Fire (2016) by Ari S — 13 Dec 2016

I'm not quite sure how to explain the tingly sensation of how much at time I hated this and couldn't get enough. Going in I know Adrian for his environmental pieces and of course entourage vinny chase. I've seen goodbye word and some other indies but nothing compares to how hatable he is in the beginning of the film.

My first thought was why is this woman with him he brings NOTHING to the table aside from average guile and above average whit aka being passive aggressive would be putting it too nice.

However we find out why and as a last effort she would like to meet the remaining family he has to ensure confidence that her own reservations won't be right. when she clearly knows as a product of greniers behavior and his constant assurance that it's a terrible idea. However nothing prepared me for the magnificent and memorable from lost character fionnula Flanagan my god she could be put in any horror film and I the hair on my neck would jump her mannerisms and gaze instill sheer terror every time she speaks.

The film is disturbingly good because you have an opinion after and for that sheer reason it's more than worth watching. It's surprisingly suspenseful and Flanagan latches like Ellen burstyn in requiem hauntingly beautiful.
