Review of TransSiberian (2008) by Aishwarya K — 21 May 2011
Kind of ridiculous in every way, but this is a well-written, tense, and engaging film that entertains. The action is good and so are the twists, if a bit predictable at times. Still, it's not the bad kind of predictability; it's more like "everything is building to this happening" or that "AHA!" moment.
Really, my biggest beef here is in Brad Anderson's overdirection at times, in bringing memory flashbacks to obvious things, as if the viewer isn't smart enough to figure it out on his or her own.
Otherwise, this is gooood stuff.
