Caviezel and Frain should be doing a lot better than straight to DVD fodder like this tale of a family stalked by criminals who stashed stolen money in their camping gear.

We've seen this before but one nice character touch is that Caviezel's father of two is on parole for real estate fraud which leads to initial distrust from wife Rohm. The intentions of the script however are clouded over by the amateurish direction, sloppy editing and some of the worst lighting you'll see outside of a student film.

Frain is pretty good as the sadistic gang leader and bears a striking similarity to the recently deceased seventies exploitation stalwart David Hess. It would have been more interesting for me though if he and Caviezel had reversed roles and played against type. Caviezel has an intensity that could be better utilised in character parts rather than the leading man roles his chiseled looks find him in.

To be honest apart from the technical shoddiness this is no worse than the average theatrically released thriller but I wouldn't worry about beating the traffic to rent a copy of this one.
