The follow up to "Transformers" is one that is plagued by too many continuity issues and a whole lot of Transformers mythology. The film follows Sam Witcwicky and the Transformers as they try to stop The Fallen and the Decepticons before they destory the human race.

The film puts more emphasis on the robots than the humans, which is a step up from the first, but it still has problems of its own. Some of the continuity throughout tends to be altered or forgotten in order to get the story where it needs to go.

The other issue is the Transformers mythology. The first film let the mythology out in a small dose so as not to confuse the audience. This time around, everything is thrown at the screen with the Matrix of Leadership and the Original Primes, and Cybertronian language.

It is all too much to handle. Outside of that, the film still has fantastic robot fighting action with very impressive visual effects. A good film, but not great.
