Outside of the special effects and action, which are stunning and improved from the second one, and the cut down on annoying humor, Transformers: Dark of the Moon really is a lifeless movie, with nothing very good to offer outside of the effects.
The script is weak, the performances are a little underwhelming, the pacing is off, and the movie is far too long. I don't know why so many people liked this movie, but I say compared to some of the quality Summer releases of the past few weeks, like Harry Potter and Captain America, it falls flat on its face.
