Review of Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) by Robert M — 10 Nov 2016
Still not much of an improvement, but I came out of the theater a little pleasantly surprised. I felt like I laughed the most out of any of the other Transformers movies. There was still a more-than-needed amount of action (this one felt like it had it the most), but still a decent story and some new surprises as well, including a new all-star cast.
Speaking of which, Wahlberg had an interesting role appearing in a Transformers movie, and the girl in this film was better than the previous few movies. It was also interesting to hear John Goodman voice one of the new Autobot characters.
As the ending suggested with the mysteriously live âCybertron", it sounds like things are definitely going to continue to be interesting. Of course as usual, very epic and stunning special effects which are fun to watch now and then, but not always composed well in a movie sense.
I was a bit impressed with this new series intro though.
