Review of Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) by Drake S — 14 Mar 2015
This was movie was an almost 3 hour Michael Bay fest of explosions, poor plot, and dreadful acting. This is Mark Wahlberg's worst preference since The Happening (although not as bad). One of the main problems I had with this movie was that it had way to many subplots, I can't tell you all of them, because if I did this would be 6 pages long, but it's CONFUSING!!
But at least the Dinobots are in this movie, kinda, not really, because they're in the film for less than 5 minutes, and they don't explain where they came from and they are pointless, if you took them out of the movie nothing would have changed because they don't do anything to advance what little story there is. All the human characters are annoying and don't do anything, and I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss Shia Labeouf, because at least he did stuff to help the transformers, and what did Mark do, he just put a credit card into a ATM. This movie also has a tons of in your face product placement, half the time I thought I was watching a Superbowl commercial, they're hilariously obvious. The fight scenes drag on for so long that they acually get boring, how can giant robots and explosions be boring? Watch this movie to find out, or better yet don't.
