Review of Transformers (2007) by Brandon W — 21 Dec 2014

If anyone has seen the series just like I do, they would say the same thing that I do that the first Transformers movie is the best one so far. While we still wish that it was the transformers that are the main focus instead of the human characters, I guess we just have to deal with it until someone reboots it and is smart enough to take away the humans in it.

But anyway, on to the movie. The human characters with the soldiers and the main kid are good, and the characters that are comic reliefs basically, actually have more purpose to it and not just pointless characters.

It's really funny and almost all of the jokes worked, although there's some that either felt flat or just groaners, like Sam's parents for example. It's not rasict, but the stereotypes in it are a bit noticeable and might offend people, although it's much shorter than the sequels.

The action is usually amazing in the series, the effects are amazing in this, and not like the sequels, the bad guys in this are more stronger and not weaklings like the sequels, except for the fourth film until the final battle.

The acting is great, and it's the only film so far, from what I remember, that there's no human characters in the scene, and it's just the Autobots talking to each other which makes it the only part where it was focusing on the transformers.

The characters for the transformers are memorable and one of the highlights of the film. The soundtrack is amazing, and the final battle is exciting to watch. It's really sad that the sequels haven't been as great as the first movie and never seem to realize what made the first one the only movie that lots of people like.

The fourth was on the right track, but had more problems that caused it to actually be a good movie. Transformers shows to most of the people that Michael Bay actually made a good movie and know what he was doing instead of just explosion galore.
