Loud, dumb and just flat out boring. Transformers may not be a truly awful film but it is certainly a bad one. Filled with incoherent action sequences, poorly developed characters, racist stereotypes, unfunny comedy and overly long running time and horribly desaturated colour grading and cinematography.
There are impressive special effects, a couple of admittedly funny moments and a decent score but it's not enough to make the film good. Not awful, but not good. C-.
