Review of Transcendent Man (2009) by Elya G — 24 Jun 2011
This great documentary by Ray Kurzweil explores the evolution of humans being merged with machines. Kurzweil, troubled by the death of his father in 1970, has continually sought a way to improve the human condition through taking 200+ plus pills a day to try and reverse the aging process, to inventing pocket readers for the blind.
His controversial insights have people debating the ethical ramifications of humans becoming biomechanical and perhaps immortal beings. A must see for science geeks and prophecy fans alike.
