Review of Transamerica (2005) by Angela V — 24 Apr 2008
This was an endearing film about gender, friends, family and people. Felicity Huffman was excellent, as well as the rest of the cast. This told the story without judgement of a transgender person and other characters who operate outside the norm of society.
It was honest showing the various characters flaws as well as strengths. The tone and script was uncomplicated so as to allow the viewer to absorb the variety of the characters. The character that was most unlikeable, was Bri's mother who was represented as the 'typical Christian American mother.
