If a movie is supposed to confuse you, give you a headache, and twist its plot into a pretzel the "Trance" succeeds. I like a film that turns left instead of right and keeps you guessing as the story unfolds.
Does the mind scramble get a little taxing and turn plot into a jumbled mess, yes it does. I think that was the point.
