Review of Traitor (2008) by Erno K — 23 Apr 2009
I have seen too many Muslim/Islam "they want to bomb us and we must stop them" movies lately, but this one had Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce, so bring on the jihad once more!
This film actually managed to stay fresh with an interesting angle in the beginning. Then approximately half way through it became a generic inside man job shenanigan. It would have been awesome if the movie had really dealt with Samir's doubt and teetering between two worlds. Alas, they had to make him a straight up good guy. Boring and predictable.
This film is a decent snack-sized treat while waiting those bigger-than-life masterpieces.
