Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Chris H — 14 Apr 2012
Rightly heralded as a movie that lays bare the seediness of drug addiction, but it doesn't really reveal anything useful. It's hard to imagine a movie like this would dissuade anyone from going down this road or turn those already on it -- which is sort of the point of the film.
Bristlingly well done, but painfully pointless.
