Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Ken S — 04 Dec 2016
"Trainspotting" is a tremendous indie British film about a group of heroin addicts and their adventures both in taking the drug and their attempts to kick it and failures to do so. The cast is top notch and the film is funny, gut-wrenching, disgusting, sad.
..and sometimes all at the same time. I remember years ago struggling to get through it, as I was both less mature and a bit grossed out by certain scenes early on. But as I have grown up, it felt time to finally give this a fair shake, and I am glad I did.
It really is a great film.
