Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Bheema D — 23 May 2016
Have you ever thought to yourself, "man, I wish Requiem for a Dream was made by The Coen Brothers?" Congratulations, I found you your movie. It's a good one, too. Acting's great. It's super impressive how much the film balances a very surreal window and an angrily realistic room inside of that window.
The problem is the transfer from book to movie - way too much narration, the leanings are explained via dialogue, and the plot has a sense of aimlessness at times, coming to a kinda random resolution.
Your personality will determine whether you like this movie or not.
