Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Deepak S — 26 Jan 2017
Brilliant, darkly funny and era-defining portrayal of the down-and-out, drug-addled lives of a group of Edinburgh friends who are seemingly on a path of mutual self-destruction, to an absolutely rollocking soundtrack.
Far from glamourising heroin use, its raw and often brutal portrayal of its consequences is enough to put anyone off from experimenting (hence why it was shown to us in school during PSHE lessons!).
