Review of Training Day (2001) by Patrick K — 02 Oct 2014
This is a brilliant film where a corrupt narcotics cop Alonzo Harris (Denzel Washington) takes young rookie Jake Hoyt (Ethan Hawke) under his wings and brings him to the ugly underbelly of L.A. crime and tests his resolve so he has to decide right from wrong for himself.
In my opinion this is one of Denzel's best roles by delivering his lines to perfection and portraying a corrupt cop with flawless expertise.
