Review of Train to Busan (2016) by Marymaebennett — 29 Mar 2018
Ahahahha is my pet peeve when they make foreign films into English which is apparently happening with this film.... It has a basic premise, the characters are on a train during a zombie infection, but man does it pack a punch. Because zombie movies can be vastly different, I'd say even though it does not have the same themes as Night of the Living Dead, they're both on the more serious side and deal with political issues. So, if you like the one, you'll probably like the other.
To give you an idea of some of the themes addressed:
* Survival.
* Patience.
* Trust.
* Faith.
* Hope.
* Safety.
* Togetherness.
* Family Roles.
* Fear.
If that interests you and you're okay being a little shaken up afterwards, this is definitely a film for you.
