Review of Trading Places (1983) by Lis A — 18 May 2011
This is funniest movie for both Akyroyd and Murphy, whose post-SNL segueways in feature films have been hit-and-miss at best. I wish more comedies today were done like this one - take an interesting premise, mold it into a sharp, well-written script, put it in the hands of a competent director and two engaging leads, and you have a picture like "Trading Places".
One of the most unnervingly underrated comedies of the 1980s.
