What should have been a marvelous work of surreal fantasy is instead a virtually unwatchable mess, thanks to a heavy-handed script, lousy performances across the board (with Robin Williams at his mugging worst) and some shockingly bad direction courtesy of Oscar-winner Barry Levinson.
