Review of Toy Story 3 (2010) by Michelle W — 12 Jan 2014
Omg, this is how a sequel is done, Toy Story 3 is my guilty pleasure for life. This film doesn't just show the changes of adolescence and how things have to move on in life, but sometimes we just can't let go.
It starts all threatening and scary as Andy has thoughts of letting go of his toys because he's going to college, until they're given the opportunity to come to Sunnyside, which is actually a toy prison which was under the wrath of Lotso when his original member replaced him after losing him at a park.
He wants toys to feel like they hate children as you have to start at the bottom unless you want to get to the top. While one side of the film is cheery, playful and exciting, I never expected such a moving and teary ending.
I don't think there was anyone who had dry eyes after watching the ending in the first place, it was so moving and I couldn't stop crying. It put an impact on me as I was on the verge of giving away my toys, but after watching this, I thought twice, and I keep them forever, as they were my happiness.
Toy Story 3 was a truly stunning and emotional film, and I was so proud to be a part of this truly exceptional journey with Andy and the toys.
