As someone who never grew up with Toy Story, I have to say I enjoyed the sequel adventure, but really didn't feel much else for it. The humor, the chemistry between the characters, the world - it all worked very well, yes.
And that's about it. Yes, I just copied that from my Toy Story review, because these two movies are just so similar in my mind.
