Review of Towelhead (2008) by Richard S — 03 Jan 2009
I thought this movie was fantastic. Alan Ball knows his stories. This movie can be uncompfortable at times and is controversial, but that is part of what makes it so great. This movie shows the truth, the strict parenting leading the child to be uncompfortable with sexuality, and to not even understand that she is supposed to be willing to have sex.
It's an amazing story that leads us to not knowing who caused the trouble, obviously you would say Aaron Eckhart's character, but it leads you to think about the role that they all played in the destruction of her life.
