Review of Towelhead (2008) by Diane M — 15 Jan 2009
If it wasn't for his voice, I wouldn't have even recognized Peter Macdissi, who was Olivier "Six Feet Under." Great performances around. I was surprised by Aaron Eckhart. He's given good performaces before but this one was great.
Powerful film, tho cringe inducing at several times due to the serious subject matter. It takes a good director/writer to tackle teenage sexuality properly, and just as he did with "American Beauty," Alan Ball has delivered.
While there are moments in the film that can be disturbing, this film is worth a viewing.
