Review of Towelhead (2008) by Mark R — 16 Feb 2009
There was a fantastic movie but nothing as it was advertised. It's about the sexual exploration of a young girl who just hits puberty and pretty much a day letter is sexually active. There is no bad acting in this movie, I thought, but some of the lines these guys say are trifle and embarrassing for them to say.
The drama is very powerful in the movie, however, there are two scenes that will make you look away and the racism in this movie is a little overbearing. Also, the first twenty minutes of the movie are downright cruel for the protagonist. I'd keep your eyes on Eugene Jones III.
