Review of Towelhead (2008) by Scott — 22 May 2009
This movie was really good. You kind of start o lose faith in people after watching this movie. There are just way too many really really shitty people. Even the ones who seam so good on the outside are just rotten in the middle.
This movie makes you feel a bit dirty and awkward watching it. The plot is: This poor girl gets sent to her dad's house after an "incident" with her mom's boyfriend. As much as her over-powering dad tries to protect her, she still has to go through all the drama of a normal life, and much much more.
I thought the acting was great. It had a pretty good anti-racism vibe. And I really liked how the dad was kind of overbearing and... well.. kind of a dick to her, but anyone that would meet him would see the the him he wanted them to see.
He really looked like the greatest guy ever.
