This is a difficult movie to watch on so many levels. First, you have the ignorance of people, combine that with the redneck (not in an endearing way) asshole who lives next door to her....mix in the inept mother and the domineering father and you get one extremely confused girl. Ball does a great job of making the watcher feel what jasira is experiencing.
It is a pretty in your face drama.....I don't think "enjoyed" is the right word, but it was a good film.
