With such a subject matter it takes a great screenwriter to bring it to life in the right tone. Enter Alan Ball. Towelhead manages to deal with controversial subjects in a way that is honest and not contrived in the least.
The people behind the movie Trust could have learnt something from this (I'm just saying!).
