Review of Tout Va Bien (1972) by T.a. P — 17 Apr 2008
Didactic, partisan, reactionary, revolutionary, long-winded, modern, post-modern, impossible, and all-the-more relevant. The dissolution of conventions. An attack on bourgeoisie. An attack on the attack on bourgeoisie.
A film, an essay, an essay on film, a film on essays. Ever expanding ideologically and reductionist in its assumptions and conclusions. Controversial, contradicting, but important because of all these things.
Just, Week End was better.
