Review of Touching the Void (2003) by Matt C — 20 Oct 2009
Still Macdonalds best film by a country mile which considering it basically boils down to interview footage and some '999' style recreation shots is pretty incredible. The strength as with the brilliant novel is the fact that it lets the story and more importantly the main 'characters' drive the story.
The way Simpson completely bares his soul will move even the hardest of viewers.
