Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Ryan D — 17 Jul 2008
An interesting film that once again exhibits the genius of Welles the director. It sticks with the noir sensibilities well, and the dialogue is littered with sharp asides. However, the film is paced awkwardly, Charlton Heston looks laughable as a Mexican, and Orson Welles mumbles his way through the first half of the film.
Overall, however, a good film with some classic cinematography.
