Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Matt V — 03 Feb 2008
The 'restored version' of the film features an opening tracking shot with a Conversation-esque Walter Murch-made sound track. I'd guess it's more Much than Welles, but still an amazingly choreographed 3 minutes.
Cartoonish caricatures propel this great film. And indeed, Charlton Heston: a Mexican with a variable accent yes?
