Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Buddy K — 01 Mar 2008
Along with "The Trial", this is easily Orson Welles' best film as a director (this refers to the1998 version that was recut to be as close to Welles' vision as possible). Well, out of his movies I've seen anyway.
This is also easily one of the best film noirs made during the classic era and features incredible visuals and great performances from Welles and Charlton Heston in an unlikely role that he makes work.
