Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Matthew K — 17 Mar 2008
Terrific Noir from Orson Welles. The story grips from the first frame, and the shooting style feels fresh and innovative even today- check out the mammoth opening shot. Solid performances from the likes of Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh and Welles himself complete the praise.
All in all, this is Essential cinema.
