Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Michael B — 02 Apr 2008
An absolute clinic on the moving camera. Heston isn't much of a Latino, but the cast is otherwise stellar. The big guy steals the show of course, but the absurdly gorgeous Janet Leigh is a close second scene stealer to the scene dominator that Welles is.
Certainly, one of the best films of that era and way ahead of its time both technically and thematically.
