Ingeniously directed film is also one of the most well photographed films I have ever seen, every technical aspect of this film is a milestone, with some of the most mind-boggling camera techniques in the history of movies.
A work of pure cinematic genius, this captures the essence and noir of film like few have, and Welles not only directs brilliantly, but he gives a performance worthy of note. I was truly inspired by the way the B&W film was shot, the use of light is truly awe-inspiring.
I can think of many films where the very first shot was a very long one, this movie was definitely the first to do it.
