Worth watching if you enjoy film noir but not in the top level of that genre. Strange jazz music, paranoia about reefers and Charlton Heston made up to play a Mexican make it a bit dated now. On the other hand it is still visually striking, Welles is excellent as the corrupt(?) sheriff and does have a very good ending.
