Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Roger T — 25 Apr 2009
Excellent story about a cops (Welles) descent into his own ruin as he tries to frame a man for murder. Heston is an investigator from across the Mexican border who realises what is going on and tries to put things right.
Perhaps the best performance was that of Dietrich. She was already in her late 50's but still stunning. As with most Welles productions some of the scenes were shot with such originality they still look great.
