Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Zoey P — 16 Aug 2009
If you love classic Hollywood, you'll hate Touch of Evil. It does everything possible to make the viewer uncomfortable, and its success is what makes it so great. If you love movies that take a risk and that give you images worth savoring and contemplating, you'll love this movie.
I wouldn't really want to watch it again because watching it is like stumbling into a nightmare. But Welles' technique and style in creating such an atmosphere make Touch of Evil a unique and great film.
