Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Geoff C — 06 Nov 2010
Absolutely great. Orson Welles steals the show. He delivers one of the greatest screen performances I've ever seen. The version I saw was an attempt at emulating Welles's original vision, based on a 58 page memo he sent to the studios requesting changes to the film.
It would have been interesting to see what his actual version of the film was like, but I think he would be satisfied with what the people did with it.
