Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Zak S — 15 Dec 2010
As someone who is of the opinion that Citizen Kane is... how should I say this... Boring as hell, I was surprised to find that this movie rocked. It was way ahead of its time, and it felt very naturally shot and acted compared to its contemporaries, which I tend to dislike.
It had a stylized quality that I really dug as well. Orson Welles gets a couple extra points for this one in my book.
