Review of Total Recall (1990) by Xcv V — 14 Jun 2011
"MY NAME IS NOT QUAID!!!".
In light of hearing about an uneccesary REMAKE, I thought it would be time to check out this little classic.
Paul Verhoeven, the guy responsible for special effect and gun bonanza's such as "Robocop" & "Starship Troopers" put's together what is essentially an equal balance of abusrd yet interesting storyline, and taking big name actors and sticking smut in your face (The chick with the third knocker).
One of Arnold Schwarzenegger's best. he plays a man who has dreams of going to Mars, essentially he goes to buy the tickets when the retail offers another idea where you end up experiencing the vaction of your dreams which you make up.
While unconscious you literally act out your thought's, However it seems Arnold's charcter has a past (Haven't seen that before) and eventually he is on the run from a bunch of agents, most notably the always awesome Michael Ironside.
Not wanting to tell you anymore, You literally have to see this movie, It showcases Arnold at his best, the creature Effects look brilliant and the horrible one liners? Oh F*ck me there's to many too count.
Final Verdict: What a way to kick off the 90's aye?, check it out it's brilliant mindless fun.
