Review of Total Recall (1990) by Danual G — 15 Oct 2012
One of my favorite classic Arnold movies, absolutely filled with action, humor, and one liners as always and pretty much does it continually throughout the film. Not to mention it has a good supporting cast behind Schwarzenegger like: Sharon Stone, Michael Ironside, and Rachel Ticotin as Arnold's "Love" interest.
Love the storyline and what the whole point of the movie is. It really made me think the very first time I saw it, and still makes me think today when I watch it. Sometimes to be honest, I don't really know what is "Real" and what is "Recall.
" Arnold does an awesome job as always as an action star who really doesn't have to do much but be himself, and thats why he is so great. The action sequences in the film are good, and ahead of its time for being 1990, they're obviously going to be a tad cheesy, but the blood on the wall in the first fight scene for Arnold is awesome, and I thought really added to the film.
If you are a big Schwarzenegger fan, I think that you'll love the film, and if you aren't, you'll still like in my opinion. The storyline is one that is finally original, and that is hard to come by now days.
4/5 JD.
