Review of Torque (2004) by Movie K — 15 Oct 2009
Straight forward action movie. Great motorbike chases and action. Martin Henderson returns back to LA after missing for 6 months. His return only brings back troubles as a biker gang led by Matt Schulze wants back his 2 bikes in the care of Martin.
It actually contains drugs. Martin knew it and kept them at a safe place instead of his girlfriend's Monet Mazur (so pretty) bike shop and escape. Ice Cube lead another group of gang who also cross paths with Martin.
In the beginning his little brother have some troubles with him. Later the baddie Matt killed the brother and framed it on Martin. Adam Scott & a gal are 2 FBI agents also trying to nail Martin. When Ice Cube and gang were chasing down Martin and gang, during one chase Ice fell on the train tracks and got pin.
Martin went to save him. That's whenIce feels he may not be the killer. Meanwhile Martin and gang play their way around and tried to get back to LA. He make a deal with Ice to hand over the killer and Adam to hand the drugs.
At the time, turns out Adam is also a bad guy and shoots the other agent. The baddie escape and Martin chase him with a superbike and manage to kill him. The chase in that sequence is too exaggerating.
Baddies were all dead, the agent survive, Ice & Martin make peace and the gang decide to go to Mexico. One of the best scene got to be the 2 bike chicks duel with bikes.
