Review of Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970) by Bob W — 26 Mar 2010
Being a story about events more so than characters, this docudrama on Pearl Harbour is somewhat lacking in emotional value, but is obviously the product of heavy research and has the smooth polish of an expert filmmaker.
The film's claim to fame is the lengthy attack sequence, a tour de force of pyrotechnic effects, which opens with hundreds of Japanese bombers silhouetted against a brilliant sunrise.
