Fascinating, and it doesn't really drag for how long it is. I thought it would be a full-life biopic, but it's really centered around a time when Gilbert and Sullivan's professional relationship was most strained and leads up to the creation and first performance of "The Mikado.
" It's more of a mix of biopic and an event-based movie; kind of strange, but it mostly works.
