I love this film. This was the first Astaire and Rogers film I ever saw and it was wonderful. I don't think that any girl could watch Fred Astaire dancing without just wishing they wee the girl he was with. As for Ginger she is just so funny. The plot is admittedly unlikely but I don't think that matters most film plots are unlikely.
Thus far I have only mentioned Fred and Ginger but the supporting cast is also brilliant especially Eric Blore who seems to be born to be a valet. It is overall a great film. You can tell this because 75 years on we are still talking about it.
