Review of Top Gun (1955) by Joseph R — 09 Feb 2012
A film of the times. Well acted and the emotional story with Gose is well directed. However, every time it's about the girl it feels like a different movie. The music changes (take my breath awayyyy? What? you want to die? ok annoying woman!) I loved the bromance and flight pilot storyline but not the romantic one.
I do like all the angst after Cruise's mate dies. It is very well made and is completely 80s. So enjoyable but not exactly a classic.
